What the site keeps, and where.

Continuous Function has no accounts, analytics or advertising. Work you save on the site is kept in your own browser and is not sent to us. This notice says what is kept, how to delete it, what our hosting provider processes when you visit, and where search words go.

What is kept in your browser

Some pages keep your work in this browser’s storage on your device: predictions and answers to exercises, saved comparisons and investigations, your place in a reading route, research drafts, projects, the workspace, and settings such as the day or night theme. Other pages save nothing. Your work lists the records this browser keeps across the site; opening it changes none of them.

None of this is sent to Continuous Function or shared with anyone, and none of it is tied to an account, because there are no accounts. A browser keeps the work saved at each address separately, so work saved at www.continuousfunction.ai is kept apart from work saved at continuousfunction.ai.

Search is different. Atlas search keeps the words you search for in the page address, and your browser sends that address when the page loads, for example when you reload it or open a link to it that someone shared. The words then reach the hosting provider as part of the address requested.

The site sets one cookie, and only when you ask for it. On www.continuousfunction.ai, the page that moves saved work lets you choose to keep using the www address for a day; that choice is remembered in a cookie that holds no identifier and expires after 24 hours. If the hosting provider has to check that a visit comes from a person rather than an automated attack, it may set a short-lived cookie for that check.

How to delete it

Clearing this site’s data in your browser’s settings (often called site data, or cookies and site data) removes everything the site has stored. Do the same for www.continuousfunction.ai if you used that address. Files you downloaded are not affected.

Some pages also have their own controls: “Forget this workspace” on the workspace deletes the workspace, and a research draft can be reset after a confirmation.

Because the work you save never reaches us, we cannot see it, recover it or delete it for you. Where a page offers an export, download it first if you want to keep a copy.

What the hosting provider processes

The site is served by Vercel, a hosting provider. To deliver pages and to protect the site from abuse, it processes technical data about each request: your IP address, your browser’s user agent, the address requested (with any search words in it), the time and the response. It handles that data under its own terms and privacy policy.

Continuous Function uses this data only to keep the site working and secure, for example to look into an error or an attack. It is not used to build a profile of you, and it is not sold.

What the site does not do

The site has no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Its pages load no third-party scripts: fonts, scripts and images come from this site. No hosted AI model is called. Where a page offers to copy a prompt for an AI assistant you already use, it copies text to your clipboard and sends nothing itself.

Links to papers, code and other sources take you to those sites, and their own privacy policies apply there.

If this changes

If the site ever stores or sends anything else, for example if accounts are added, this notice will be updated and its date will change.
